Donate Poppy Shop

Poppy Golf events are a chance for all golf enthusiasts to get involved at a local and national level to support the Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Through your generous support at these events, we have already raised over a quarter of a million pounds for our welfare work.

2020 - 75th anniversary of VE and VJ Day

Hundreds of Golf Clubs had agreed to take part in our very special 75th anniversary of VE and VJ Day this year, in May and August respectively. Over 15,000 golfers were to be involved.

Sadly, due to the ongoing situation with Covid -19, the May date is no longer feasible, so we are asking everyone to consider an August date, either around 15 August (the VJ Day anniversary) or towards the end of the month over the bank holiday weekend. If the current situation with Covid-19 continues past these dates, May 2021 will also be considered.

Everything else remains the same - every player will receive a specially-produced commemorative ball-marker, the winners will receive our very special gold medals, and flags for one (or more) of your greens will be available.

Clubs who had already signed up for this have been contacted - but if you have not yet entered and would like to, please get in touch.

Many Clubs also play an event each year in November, which is still planned to go ahead.

Golf quiz night

We also have a very special VE/VJ Day and golf quiz this year, with 30 questions to test your Members.

Get in touch to get involved or find out more.
